This specimen features a broad vug in matrix, showcasing a magnificent array of highly complex diploid pyrite crystals. The pyrite crystals are sharp, complete, and pristine, with a brilliant metallic luster and a distinctive warm brassy patina. Duff Quarry was immensely popular with collectors, particularly those with an interest in pyrite, and this specimen is a great example of these classic finds from the 1970s-90s (many of them were collected by a young Rob Lavinsky in 1986-90 while in high school nearby this quarry and traded by him to dealers at shows!).
