Pyrite "ball"

Item Description

A rarely seen "ball" or "sphere" of Pyrite from the Yunnan Province of China (the same province that produces the well known Pyrite concretions on shale). Hundreds if not, thousands of small modified crystals comprise this attractive large thumbnail specimen on every side. It appears that tiny bit of underlying shale can be seen under close inspection.
