Item Description
A RARE and dramatic combination from an unknown mine in Zacatecas, Mexico. Striking sharp mirror-bright brass-yellow pyrite cubes are prominently set in the sculptural matrix of sharp lustrous brown andradite garnet trapezohedrons. The impressive large cube is 4.3 x 3.8 x 2.8 cm. Possibly from the Bonanza Mine at the famous Concepcion del Oro area. The piece has a outstanding provenance, having been in the collection of Dr. Miguel Romero # 2180. He assembled the world's finest collection of Mexican minerals before he passed away in 1997. It was on display at the University of Arizona Mineral Museum and was then in the Dave Stoudt Collection. Valued at $1200.
