Item Description
Butte pyrite is renowned for individual specimen beauty and mineral association diversity. Mirror-bright, brass-yellow, pyrite pyritohedrons with well-defined striations are richly and attractively strewn on the undulating matrix covered with sparkly needel quartz crystals. The overall aesthetics and quality of this combination specimen are first class. This very fine old-time specimen is from the more obscure Belmont Mine, from where specimens are RARE. Ex Richard Hauck Butte suite and comes with an older Schortmanns label with a 1962 date. Valued at $300-400 for high quality and extreme locality rarity.
