Item Description

For those who don't know, Richard Kosnar mined the Sweet Home for a few years during the late 1970's and managed to collect some excellent specimens. This piece is from one of the first pockets that Rich opened when he started mining the Sweet Home. The Sweet Home mine is obviously world famous for its amazing Rhodochrosite crystals, but it actually did produce some beautiful and fine quality sulfide specimens, that are typically overlooked by collectors. This specimen features dozens of rather lustrous, metallic, golden color crystals of striated pyritohedral Pyrite with Galena, Tetrahedrite and Quartz. This piece was collected in 1977.
