Pyrite and Calcite (fluorescent)

Item Description

Iridescent Pyrite with this deep red color is not all that common, and you put it in the form of sharp, intergrown cubes and you have a superb specimen. The luster is almost mirror-like, and the largest cube is 1.1 cm on edge. Naturally, everything along the edge if the specimen was broken off when mining, but the interior faces and edges are in very good condition - sharp and lustrous. The Pyrites are intergrown with, and on, fluorescent Calcite, which is classic for the Dalnegorsk area. An exceptional and aesthetic miniature. Better in person.
