Pyrite

Item Description

An attractive specimen of lustrous metallic golden Pyrite from the famous Huanzala Mine. The piece shows classic octahedral faces with crystals measuring up to 3.3 cm. A bit of damage on the bottom / back, but not bad on the display side. A good large miniature / small cabinet for anybody who appreciates good crystallized Pyrites or nice metallic minerals. It's not common to find octahedral crystals of Pyrite from any locality in this size, and even though Pyrite is a common species, the pieces from Huanzala should be appreciated for their superior quality and form.
