Item Description

The Siglo XX mine is probably best known for its phosphate species, but there are some very attractive Pyrite specimens that come out from time to time. This piece is a rather impressive display piece featuring excellent, sharp, very lustrous, modified cuboctahedral octahedral crystal on Pyrite forming an aesthetic group. The largest crystal measures 2.8 cm across. The specimen is in excellent shape, with only a few tiny nicks here and there. The majority of Pyrites from the Siglo XX mine have such terrible damage that they wouldn't even be worth the cost of shipping to bring them back to the States. A great Pyrite specimen for a Pyrite collector or a specimen to add to a Bolivian or sulfide suite.
