Item Description

Pyrites from Navajun are one of the most easily recognizeable and abundant display specimens in the world. They are highly attractive, and arguably the finest crystallized representations of the species. A 2.0 x 1.7 x 1.6 cm, razor-sharp, mirror-bright, metallic pale golden color cube is dramatically set on matrix. A tiny bit of edge wear is noted. This locality is mined almost exclusively for its pyrite crystals, which are world famous and well known among collectors. Note that in the process of excavation, most such crystals pop out and are thus reattached to the matrix (it is hard to tell on this piece). This is a fine quality specimen in this size range, with visual appeal and is a representative specimen good enough for any collection! Natural Cubist art. Impressive.
