Item Description

A gorgeous small cabinet display specimen of Pyrite featuring a very good sized octahedron with cubic and pyritohedral modifications. The faces are rather sharp, with good luster in areas with that classic soft metallic golden color. The overall aesthetics and elegant form of the piece make it a very nice Pyrite specimen from this classic Peruvian locality. The piece is incomplete on the back/bottom, but it still displays very well, and truly stands out among countless other "boring" Pyrites I have seen from this mine.
