If you can get past the fact that they are "just" pyrites, you have to admit that these wonderful cubes on matrix from Spain are amongst the most striking crystals in the mineral kingdom. Non-mineral people usually cannot believe that they form naturally, in fact! This is a fine, near pristine cube, wonderfully isolated and fully exposed on the matrix. It measures 2.0 cm on edge and has a mirror-golden luster. A tiny bit of embedded clay matrix and very trivial nearby edgewear are noted, but are certainly modest detractions. A fabulous-looking specimen!
