Item Description

This is a lovely small cabinet sized display piece of Pyrite from this famous Italian Pyrite mine, which closed prior to 1984. The sharp, lustrous, soft golden metallic crystals are fine quality, measuring up to 4.0 cm on edge, and despite some dings on the front/display side (the piece is contacted on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall), it's still in fairly good shape. Pyrite from this mine is world-class and rivals other Pyrite specimen from Rio Marina on Elba Island, Peru, Spain and Washington State. A showy example of one of the most well-known sulfides in the world.
Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection.
