Item Description

The Siglo XX mine is probably best known for it's phosphate species, but there are some very attractive Pyrite specimens that come out from time to time. This piece is a rather aesthetic display piece featuring several relatively sharp, lustrous, slightly modified cubic crystals of Pyrite forming a somehwat spherical-shaped specimen. The piece is in great shape, and is essentially a "floater" as I cannot find any true point of attachment. It is only one of a handful that I acquired when these pieces came out (March of 2005). The majority of them had such terrible damage that they wouldn't even be worth the cost of shipping to bring them back to the States. A very nice and unusual specimen for a Pyrite collector or a piece to add to a Bolivian or sulfide suite.
