Fantastically sharp, complex thumbnail pyrite crystal from the famous Merelani Hills. The mirror-bright, brassy crystal displays cubic, octahedral and pyritohedral faces. Complete all-around. The bit of noted bruising and edge wear are certainly only a modest detraction. This deposit is renowned for the world's finest tanzanite and exceptional diopside and grossular garnet specimens and other species. Pyrite is now included in the list of excellent specimens.
