Item Description
Pyrite is literally found in thousands of world localities. It's one of the most common sulfides on Earth, but it often is found in beautiful crystallized specimens. When it comes to cubic Pyrite, the specimens from Navajun might be most famous and iconic examples of the species ever found. These specimens are not only highly attractive, but they make a case as arguably the finest crystallized representations of the species hands down. This locality is mined almost exclusively for its Pyrite crystals, which are world famous and well known among collectors. This piece is a fantastic group of razor-sharp, highly lustrous, soft metallic golden color cubes of Pyrite, free of matrix. One edge of the uppermost crystal has a slight bit of roughness, and the lowest crystal has a separation mark where it was removed either from the pocket wall or another Pyrite crystal. Still a showy and aesthetic example of this world-famous material.
