Item Description
A sharply terminated, lustrous, 1.0 cm, metallic-gray, pyrargyrite crystal with gemmy highlights (under bright light) is the focal point of this old-time, very rich ore specimen from the historic mines at St. Andreasberg. Clusters of splendent, sharp, pyrargyrite microcrystals and pods and veins of massive pyrargyrite are richly scattered on the vuggy, wedge-shaped, calcite matrix, that hosts a plethora of small pokerchip calcite crystals. The scattered pyrargyrite really adds character. Classic, showy "ruby silver" sulfosalt combination material. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued at $400.
