A superb and rare old-time pyrargyrite miniature from the historic Schneeberg District of the Erzgebirge. The bright, sharp silver-metallic, parallel-growth crystals have a multitude of striking hoppered and striated faces. This rare very sculptural beauty is complete all-around and pristine. One face is contacted, but there is no damage, per se. The attachment point is at the base. A fantastic 360-degree specimen with every turn presenting a distintively different perspective! This outstanding piece undoutably dates to prior to World War I. Very rare and desirable in this quality. Ex Herb Obdda Collection # 2465 and comes with a faded Ward's label. Valued at $2500.
