Item Description

A classic, old-time and very aesthetic pyrargyrite thumbnail from the historic mines at Freiberg and the famous Heidelberg University and Herb Obodda Collections. Lustrous, sharp, metallic-gray, intergrown blocky "ruby silver" crystals form a very sculptural two-sided cutie. Pyrarygrite crystals of this exceptional sharpness are rare from here and this is an outstanding specimen. Ex Obodda Collection # 4383. Certainly over 100 year old. Valued at $750.
