Item Description
A large, robust, really lustrous crystal of pyrargyrite, one of the best of the fine silver species for its beauty and crystal habits. This is a classic style, although unusually big, for Mexican silver species. While dark, it has a particular "look" to it that is hard to convey, and the weight in your hand is really demonstrative that it is basically silver ore. 54.58 grams. This 3-dimensional and very hefty crystal is valued $2000 (he paid $1200 long ago). From the collection of well-known Jack Halpern of San Francisco.
