Fresnillo is renowned for world-class silver sulfosalt species and this is an very fine and rich pyrargyrite miniature. Splendent, silvery-metallic, subhedral to euhedral crystals with rounded terminations rise out of the solid crystallized pyrargyrite matrix. The crystals reach about 1.5 cm. Sparkly micro pyrites on one end add pizzazz. You can see desirable "ruby silver" color under bright light. An aesthetic and classic Fresnillo pyrargyrite with several fine display views. Very little new material has come from this district in recent years. Valued at $2000.
