A wonderful example of the Purple Chalcedony from Indonesia. This material comes from the same locality at the new botryoidal Amethyst (sometimes called "Grape Amethyst" or "Grape Chalcedony") This material ranges in color from a soft silvery-lavender to a rich purple hue. Chalcedony is essentially uncrystallized Quartz and occurs in a wide variety of colors. This piece is a lovely saturated purple color gem, cut and polished into a "Rounded Triangle" shape. The stone has excellent internal translucency when backlit, and features dark greenish-brown inclusions of what is most likely Celadonite. You don't see many Chalcedony gems on the market like this, so don't miss out on this one. If you've been looking for unique Chalcedony, do not let this one get away, as they are difficult to find this size and quality.
