The famous mines at Chanarcillo, Chile produced a rich array of beautiful and highly unusual silver-related species. This sculptural piece is rare, solid bromargyrite - silver bromide! The adamantine luster, translucent, light brown specimen has distinct sub-vertical layering on both sides and one side has embedded crystals. Undoubtably century-old material, but no proof. A classic, rare and excellent miniature.
