Pumpellyite on Datolite (ex Rich Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

This specimen was collected by Richard Kosnar in 1964 when he had just graduated from high school. He was able to collect some unique and interesting specimens during this time. This piece is mounted in a small plasitc box, and under magnification, one can see small deep green Pumpellyite on contrasting crystallized, colorless Datolite matrix. This specimen is nearly 50 years old, and even though it's a micro specimen, it's a cool piece of history and NJ mineral collecting.
