A fine quality old-time specimen of the famous Pseudomalachite pieces from the copper-producing Mount Glorious Mine in Queensland, Australia. It should be This is one of the better known localities for the species, hands down. This attractive large miniature / small cabinet display specimen host many spherical groups of highly lustrous, very dark green (nearly black) of Pseudomalachite measuring up to 4 mm across sitting atop a thin layer of pale greenish-blue Chrysocolla on host rock matrix. I love the fact that the Pseudomalachite groups are well isolated on the piece, and not tightly intergrown, so you can clearly discern each "ball" from one another. I can't find any major damage anywhere. A great example of these hard to find pieces from many years ago. Priced at $900 in our inventory. From the collection of Robert (Bob) Reynolds.
