Pseudomalachite (rare locality)

Here we have a fine quality, and hard to find old-time specimen of the attractive Pseudomalachite pieces from the Mount Glorious Mine in Queensland, Australia. This copper producer is one of the better-known localities for the species, hands down, but specimens are very few and far between on the market now. This eye-catching small cabinet display specimen host many blocky crystals very dark green (nearly black in areas) of Pseudomalachite measuring up to a few mm across sitting atop a thin layer of pale greenish-blue Chrysocolla on Quartz matrix. I can't find any major damage anywhere, and the crystals look very nice up close. We photographed the crystals with a macro lens to better illustrate the quality. A great example of these hard to find pieces from many years ago.
