Item Description

A VERY rarely seen specimen of Pseudomalachite from Chingola (labeled as the Chingola Open Pit in "Northern Rhodesia" (modern day Zambia). Sparkling rich green colored micro crystals of Pseumalachite cover the underlying host rock matrix. If you collect minerals of the Copperbelt Province, or worldwide phosphates, this is a great piece to add to your collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3186). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
