Pseudomalachite on Chrysocolla (illustrated)

A very choice miniature of this actually quite rare, and misunderstood, copper species. We actually rarely see them for sale. Pseudomalachite is a phosphate, NOT a carbonate like malachite, and the two are often mixed up in favor of malachite. This is an excellent, showy, display-sized specimen from this famous 1985 occurrence, one of the great classic finds for the species. Ex William Hiss Collection of California (Bill was a major collector of the 1990s there).
