Item Description

It's important to remember that Pseudomalachite is a copper phosphate species, and it's not a copper carbonate like Malachite, but they are so similar in appearance, that the name Pseudomalachite more than appropriate. This is a classic specimen of the famous old specimens from Mt. Glorious Mine featuring a central vug of wonderful dark greenish-black spherical aggregates of Pseudomalachite sitting on a layer of rich blue green Chrysocolla matrix. Very little damage and fine quality all over. The Mt. Glorious specimens are some of the finest examples of Pseudomalachite in the world.
