Item Description
An STRIKING specimen with lustrous, PSEUDOCUBIC, butterscotch-colored wulfenite crystals FESTOONED on a very sturdy, 3-dimensional gossan matrix and BEAUTIFULLY complimented by botryoidal green mimetite from a BRAND NEW find at the famous Mina Ojuela at Mapimi, Mexico. The largest wulfenite crystal is 2.0 cm (large for find). This VERY SHOWY piece has very few broken crystals, as you can see, for such rich coverage. This is a NEW FIND, from just before the 2008 Denver Show, where we debuted the lot. We got most of the lot. This is an EXCELLENT representation of this new find, not a cast-off, and we want to have our auction customers to have an opportunity to obtain a fine piece from the second major Mexican wulfenite find, since the San Francisco wulfies in the mid-90s. The exact mine location is Level 6, San Juan Poniente vein.
