Pseudocubic Wulfenite w/ Calcite (2008 find)

Stout, lustrous, translucent, butterscotch-colored pseudocubic wulfenite prisms are aesthetically scattered on the sturdy mounded 3-dimensional sawed gossan matrix on this showy and excellent small cabinet from famed Mina Ojuela. The impressive, large dominating crystal on the crest is 1.1 x 1.1 x 1.1 cm and there are 10 significant crystals on the piece. A few scattered tiny pearly white calcite rhombs and apple-green mimetite botryoids are a fine contrast and accent. The large for the style and locale wulfies reach 1.3 cm. All of the major crystals are pristine. You barely notice the one small bruised crystal. This is a very fine small cabinet example with significant large pseudocubic wulfenite crystals. This piece is from the 2008 find. The wulfenite, mimetite and calcite association was unique to this find.
