Item Description
An aesthetic miniature with lustrous, pseudocubic, butterscotch-colored, zoned wulfenite crystals on a 3-dimensional gossan matrix from a recent find at the famous Mina Ojuela at Mapimi, Mexico. Crystals reach 1.0 cm and several are doubly terminated, including the largest. White calcite rhombs are a super contrasting accent. This very showy piece has very few broken crystals, as you can see. This is an excellent representation of this new find, and we want to have our auction customers to have an opportunity to obtain a fine piece from the second major Mexican wulfenite find, since the San Francisco wulfies in the mid-90s. The exact mine location is Level 6, San Juan Poniente vein.
