Item Description

Lustrous, butterscotch-colored, pseudocubic and bipyramidal wulfenite crystals are richly sprinkled on two faces of the mounded, sturdy, sculptural, gossan matrix. The striking large pseudocubic crystal is 1.3 cm and the largest bipyramidal crystal is 1.2 cm. Olive-green mimetite botryoids carpet some of the piece and tiny, very glassy, hemimorphite crystals (uncommon) are peppered for a very nice contrast. There are very few broken crystals for such dense coverage, mostly along the edges. This is a fine and showy piece, especially for the association of the mimetite and hemimorphite, from the recent finds at the famous Mina Ojuela.
