Item Description
Boleite, Pseudoboleite and Cumengite are iconic species from the renowned Boleo Copper District and is also the Type Locality of the three species. Scattered, classic, lustrous, indigo-blue Boleite crystals, dominated by the impressive large 8 mm crystal, have parallel overgrowths of Pseudoboleite on the sculptural clay-rich small cabinet matrix. The showy piece is from the famous Amelia Mine at Boleo. The Tony Gleckler label indicates that there is also microcrystallised Cumengite present, a super and rare accessory. Read more about Boleo and the signature species in the 1998 Mineralogical Record Mexico Special Issue I, Vol. 29, No. 1 and in the 2022 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 53, No. 4. A classic and excellent combination example of the species from the locale.
