Item Description

This specimen is part of the 2020 Dallas Mineral Collecting Symposium benefit auction, with proceeds benefiting Mineralogical Record, Rocks & Minerals, Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, and mindat.org. Thanks to all of our participants!

The photos show it all. This is actually a gorgeous and rather large boleite crystal, 1.2 cm across, with sharp 1-2 mm cumengeite points sticking out on some faces to give it texture. The deep blue translucent layer atop the cube, that looks like layers of a Borg cube, is actually pseudoboleite, an extra bonus on this fabulous and competition-level thumbnail specimen which is also complete all around.
