Classic, lustrous, wine-red, proustite scalenohedrons to 5 mm richly fill a quartz-lined vug on this showy and excellent specimen from the famed silver mines at Cobalt. Proustite was the most common "ruby silver" at Cobalt, but good specimens, such as this, are very uncommon. Very seldom on the market.
