Old-time proustites of this very fine quality from this historic locale are rare and this is a most excellent and aesthetic combination thumbnail. Two intergrown, highly lustrous, sharply terminated crystal are fabulously accented by a calcite shard. Very nearly pristine, both sides display dramatically and the wine-red crystals glow with gorgeous "ruby-silver", cherry-red color when backlit. This is a classic and aesthetic cluster of proustite crystals from the famous St Joachimsthal District of the Erzgebirge, Czech Republic. Ex Ed Ruggiero Collection. Valued at $1000.
