Proustite on Native Silver (huge old specimen!)

Item Description

A significantly large old-time combination piece from the famous Erzgebirge region of Germany. There are numerous lustrous Proustite crystals across the surface of the specimen, with the largest being a 1.2 cm, wine-red crystal perched right atop the matrix. It glows a bright, rich red when light is transmitted through it, as do the other Proustites. There is native silver along the top and bottom, and at a weight of 6.2 pounds, you have to believe there is a lot of Silver within the matrix, as well. Originally priced at $2500 by Rocksmiths in the late 1990s, this is worth at least that much and more today.
