Item Description
Proustite on native arsenic combination specimens are RARE from the historic Schneeberg District and this is a showy and rich example. Both sides of the knobby, layered arsenic matrix host small vugs lined with splendent, silvery Proustite lathes. The beautiful, centrally located cluster is 1.0 x 0.8 cm and the large compound crystal on the edge is 1.3 cm. All of the Proustite have classic "ruby-silver" color under bright light. Comes with a faded Lidstroms label dating to the 1960s or 70s. $45 was NOT cheap in those days.
