Item Description

A rich and highly desirable old-time proustite from the Harz. Numerous highly lustrous and slightly translucent, dark cherry red crystals, to 8 mm, are aesthetically set on a galena and drusy quartz matrix. The largest crystal appears to be twinned, and is perched high on its matrix. A lovely old specimen, from the collections of Harvard (by reliable source, though no label comes with it). Ex.
