Item Description

A rare, old-time combination specimen from the Czech side of the famous Erzgebirge. Veinlets, pods and scattered individual microcrystals of lustrous, wine-red proustite are scattered in the dense matrix of microcrystalline native arsenic. The long veinlet is 1.2 cm. Such combinations are RARE from this locale. Not pretty to look at, but this is a fine ore specimen from this well-known district, dating to the 19th century. Excellent material, hefty for its size at 203 grams. Ex Josef Vajdak Collection, as noted Czech specialist.
