Item Description

This sharply terminated proustite crystals GLOWS cherry-red, when strongly backlit. The lustrous, metallic, wine-red crystal is from the famous mines at Chanarcillo, renowned for superb silver and silver sulfosalt species. Such pieces date to the late 1800s to early 1900s and are seldom available. A Holy Grail species for the locale.
