Item Description

Good sized, rich blood red, fairly sharp, trigonal crystals of gemmy Proustite comprise this attractive thumbnail specimen. This mine is well known for its Native Silver and Silver sulfide specimens, but the Proustites from Uchucchacua are not terribly common. Proustite is certainly one of the holy grails when it comes to silver species, and rarely seen in specimens with crystals this size. A worthwhile specimen from this renowned and prolific Peruvian silver locality. Valued at $600.
