Item Description

Superlative combination of beautiful, cornflower-blue Shattuckite enveloping some just incredible primary Malachite crystals - long, shimmering crystals of malachite formed on its own, without replacement of azurite (rare in this size!). The Malachite seems to originate near the bottom of this cabinet piece, where it is then surrounded by the Shattuckite, only to emerge in several gorgeous exposures, one 4 cm long and the other 2 cm. The Malachite crystals are long, fibrous, and highly lustrous. The Shattuckite is in beautiful botryoids, both exposed in pockets and facing inwards towards the Malachite. A superb, aesthetic specimen in every way. Valued at $1500-2000.
