Item Description

An excellent, old-time, combination specimen from the famous Old Dominion Mine at Globe, Arizona. Sparkling, emerald-green, primary malachite microcrystals in bubbly, botryoids richly covers the gossan matrix and are partialy covered by a second generation of lighter green malachite. Colorless, transparent to translucent, glassy drusy calcite attractively covers part of the sculptural plate. An attractive combination piece from this historic Arizona locale, probably dating to the 1950s or 1960s.
