Item Description
Striking specimen of Malachite on Malachite, both formed as primary material - as opposed to the usual occurrence of malachite crystals as a replacement of previous azurite crystals at many localities. The crystals of Malachite are some of the most beautiful bladed Primary Malachite crystals I have seen: They have a gorgeous deep forest green color and superb luster. Stacked, curved, blocky prisms up to 1.1 cm across are layered on top by a very thin second generation of iridescent, almost velvety Malachite. The piece has a balance and beauty beyond what the very good pics can adequately capture. This is quite aesthetic and a superb thumbnail example of primary malachite.
