Item Description
Huge, attractive specimen in which sought-after Primary Malachite headlines a number of species. The Malachite habit can be described as acicular, drusy crystals that sparkle like upright, forest-green rock candy because they have a micro coating of sparkling quartz atop them. When these crystals grow in clusters, it creates a habit like drusy broccoli. It is quite beautiful - and far better in person. The Shattuckite generously covers much of the specimen, and in some areas drusy Quartz coats both the Shattuckite and non-acicular Malachite, creating carpets of sparkly blue and green. There are actually some euhedral Quartz crystals, which don't always develop from the massive Quartz matrix. Overall, an attractive and colorful large specimen.
