Item Description

Primary malachite specimens are RARE from this important Pb-Zn-Ba mine. The sculptural 8.0 cm quartz crystal-lined vug in large quartz-rich matrix hosts two beautiful sprays of strikingly chatoyant acicular primary malachite crystals to 1.5 cm across. Green crusts on the sides may be very rare for the locale, rosasite. Superlative, rare, large material from the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and purchased in Sardinia in 1977.
