Item Description
Cute tufts of two-toned, primary malachite needles are richly and aesthetically sprinkled on the mounded matrix covered with very glassy, colorless, smithsonite rhombs from the famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. The rhombs look like calcite, but have far greater density than calcite. The density of smithsonite is 4.43 and calcite is 2.71. Very uncommon and showy, older material from this renowned locale. UNUSUAL COMBINATION PIECE!
