Item Description

An excellent, old-time specimen from the famous Old Dominion Mine at Globe, Arizona. Sparkling, glassy to matte-finish, emerald-green, primary malachite microcrystals in bubbly, botryoids richly covers the gossan matrix. An unknown, purple, botryoidal oxide (to 0.5 mm) is present in the upper-left of the piece (psilomelane?). An attractive and uncommon piece from this historic Arizona locale, probably dating to the 1950s or 1960s.
