Prehnite with Graphite inclusions and minor Tanzanite

This piece came from the discovery in 2019 in the famed Merelani Hills of Tanzania, which is the source of the world-famous Tanzanite crystals. These pieces from this latest find feature distinct, well-separated, larger, excellent crystals of a soft greenish-yellow hue. This attractive small cabinet is an almost a "flower"-like group comprising thick, bladed / blocky crystals of Prehnite crystals, with a darker grey overtone due to inclusions of Graphite. Most of the Prehnite crystals are fairly gemmy on the tips with sharp, lustrous faces and an almost "broadsword"-shaped habit. There is also a small partial crystal of gemmy purple-blue Tanzanite on the piece as well. It's a larger sized piece, along with being showy and features a new style (and unusual color) for Prehnite from this important gem producing district. if you're a fan of minerals of Tanzania or worldwide Prehnites, be sure to pick this one up.
